Seats

Interior colors offered were suede green, red, pale blue, grey, tan, pigskin grain, and biscuit.

      Both the front and back seats are unpleated.
The entire seat cushion covering is leather, the sides and upper back of the seat should be leather and the lower seat back should be carpet.
Slot Head screws and finishers are used.
Rexine or other vinyl type materials were not used on the seats.
Neither model was supplied with duo-tone leather upholstery.


Note: Seat belts are considered safety equipment and may be added/installed in those models that were not originally equipped with them. The type of installation and equipment should be in keeping with the vintage of the Jaguar. Replacement, non-standard hardware, belts or retractors will be judged as non-authentic.

Front Seats

The front seats are on slide runners with a crank for raising and lowering the height. The backs do not tilt down nor do they have any back angle adjustment.

DHC Front Seats Saloon Front Seats

 

 

Rear Seats

The rear seats are the same basic design for saloon and DHC, both are smooth and have center arm rests.

The differences are that the DHC has no side arm rests. The rear seats are also constructed to provide clearance for the folding of the convertible top.

DHC Back of Front Seats

The DHC seat squabs (the parts of  the seat that one sits on) are smooth, not pleated, and have smooth bolsters.

The seat cushions are smooth, not pleated.

The upper portion of the front seat-backs are vinyl

The lower portion of the front seat-backs of the DHC are carpeted (See Carpets)

Belts

Seat belts are considered safety equipment and may be added/installed in those models that were not originally equipped with them. The type of installation and equipment should be in keeping with the vintage of the Jaguar. Replacement, non-standard hardware, belts or retractors will be judged as non-authentic.
